What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme that helps you to protect your business, whatever its size or sector, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.
Cyber attacks come in many forms, but the majority are basic in nature and carried out by relatively unskilled individuals. They’re the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it’s unlocked.
Does my organisation need Cyber Essentials certification?
As your trusted IT provider, our mission is to ensure that your business data resides in a
secure IT infrastructure and as such we strongly recommend our partners are Cyber Essentials accredited. When you accomplish your Cyber Essentials certification not only are you demonstrating that you take your businesses IT Security seriously, you are also backed by industry including the Federation of Small Businesses, the CBI and a number of insurance organisations which are offering incentives for businesses.
Cyber Essentials is suitable for all organisations, of any size, in any sector.
From 1 October 2014, Government requires all suppliers bidding for contracts involving the handling of certain sensitive and personal information to be certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme.
How do we get Cyber Essentials certification?

Cyber Essentials certification is required to work with the UK government. Cyber Essentials Plus will afford you the opportunity to work with the Ministry Of Defence.
What about Cyber Essentials Plus?
Cyber Essentials Plus provides the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme. You'll need to demonstrate a more robust cyber security environment than necessary for Cyber Essentials, with specific areas of focus such as email phishing attacks and hacking.
